  We had a cat appear in our garden in a collapsed state and extremely thin. After ringing the RSPCA they gave us a reference number and asked if we could take it to a vet, quoting this number and they would pay the bill. This we did immediately and took it to your surgery Sylva House, and left it in the car whilst we went to speak to the receptionist to ask for someone to help to collect it from the boot. We were told by the receptionist " What do you want me to do about it we are fully booked". We then said that we had a reference number from the RSPCA who would pay the bill and she was extremely rude and said she wished the RSPCA had rung themselves. This was impossible as we were not sure where we would be taking the cat at the time. We could not believe her attitude and my husband said if she would not get us any help we would leave the cat on the surgery floor, whereby she called for a nurse who collected it from the car and was lovely and caring. I asked if we could ring and the receptionist became more helpful and said they could ring us. This they did the next day, and a lovely lady said he was being transferred to Claverton for tests because he was so thin but was eating and they were concerned about organ failure. Your website quotes you as a caring and compassionate surgery, we found the initial meeting with your staff as not the case. We came approximately 4.45 on Thursday 12th September and the woman in question was blond.
